Introduction To Telemedicine
With the advancement of telecommunication technology, telemedicine has evolved drastically. Mero Eye’s telemedicine uses the information and communication technology (ICT) in eye health care. In recent years, Nepal has seen significant development and modernization in the field of ICT and Mero Eye follows the same protocol.
In simpler terms, Mero Eye’s telemedicine is the delivery of eye healthcare services from a distance, overcoming the geographical barrier, thus increasing access to eye healthcare services without an in-person visit. It is also an effective tool for an exchange of medical knowledge among eye healthcare workers and the general population.
